In 2008, General Bob Magnus retired after 39 years as a US Marine.
Bob graduated from the University of Virginia and Strayer College as well as the National War College. Serving in a variety of Marine Corps positions, Bob was Commanding Officer HMM-365, Commander, Marine Corps Air Bases Western Area, Deputy Commander Marine Forces Pacific, Assistant Deputy Chief of Staff (Plans, Policies & Operations), Deputy Commandant (Programs & Resources), and Assistant Commandant of the Marine Corps. Bob is on the AgustaWesland NA, Elbit Systems of America, and EnerSys corporate board, advises several companies, is a trustee for the Center for Naval Analysis, and a . “Once a Marine, always a Marine” is more than a motto, so General Magnus continues to help take care of Marines and their families as a member of the Marine Corps-Law Enforcement Foundation, Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation, and World T.E.A.M. Sports. He is a avid runner and road biker who looks forward to riding each year with wounded warriors and disablied veterans.
